South Dakota Coalition for Compassion

The South Dakota Coalition for Compassion was founded in early 2009 by Patrick K. Lynch, the former chairman of the North-Central States chapter of the Multiple Scleroses Society.

Our Coalition is comprised of doctors, patients, families, elected officials, current and former law-enforcement, and many other people from all walks of life who have come together for a common cause of compassion.

Not only do we recognize the scientific evidence for marijuana's medicinal value - but we recognize the desperate need for safe access and legal protection for this research supported and doctor recommended therapy.

The Coalition is dedicated to educating voters about the sick and dying patients in our state who depend on medical marijuana for therapy and alleviation from pain and suffering.  Many of the patients who need legal protection are suffering from
Cancer, Multiple Scleroses, Glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, and a list of other illnesses.

Thank you for signing the petition!
More than 32,000 voters signed the Safe Access petition between May 2008 and February 2009. The Coalition was proud to submit more than twice as many signatures. Monday March 15th the Secretary of State certified the Safe Access Act for the November 2nd 2010 election as initiated measure 13!

Please help us deliver compassion to the most vulnerable and ill South Dakotans by voting YES for Compassion,
Yes on 13!
